Shampoos with sulfates – explained
There are different types of sulfate-based surfactants; some occur naturally, while others are chemically produced, and opinions on sulfates vary widely. In addition to acting as effective cleansing agents, some sulfates can, in high concentrations, dry out and irritate the skin. Sulfate does, however, occur naturally and is used as part of the cleansing system in both Rudolph Care shampoos.
Herbal Mint Shampoo and Blossom Shampoo are both free from the most commonly known sulfate surfactants such as Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES). Instead, they contain Sodium Coco Sulfate, a sulfate derived from RSPO-certified palm or coconut oil.
